FIBER OPTIC PIGTAIL
What is a fiber pigtail used for?
A fiber optic pigtail is used to connect fiber optic cables to equipment or other fibers. It consists of a short fiber optic cable with a connector on one end and exposed fibers on the other. Here are its primary uses:
